About Me: "Your Ride is Here"

Hi. I'm awkward... And- I do it well. I'm tall, but short...Thin- but not. Have Dark, though light: Long but short hair. My sarcasm is my greatest gift. I love my job as do those I work with...even though it may seem quite the opposite when reading our day to day. I could never do a "9-5" so thank god for being in EMS. My life is never dull & full of random. Welcome to my world :-)

I have been in this field for 8 years- Fire Deptartment, Instructor, Private Transport, Volunteer, ER... You name it. Every shift is different from the last and no call is EVER the same! (No matter HOW MANY times you go to the SAME Address!! OR see the SAME PATIENT!!) There are SO MANY great calls, or Terrible ones depending on how you decide to look at it: Toe-Mate-O's...Toe-Mot-O's *SHRUG*. The sad thing? After a while most start to blend together. Some shifts- We can't even remember our calls when we sign off for the night. And yes, there are times we can't remember the call we just ran, on-scene at the next! (As bad as that sounds)

Our lives in this field are part of an Ever-Changing Routine ...It's what we are paid to do. Sometimes, the pace at which we run is to blame. However, there are those calls that forever stand out in your mind...THIS IS WHY I created "The Chronicles of the Sick Bus"...THESE are the calls that can NOT BE FORGOTTEN- Of my accounts; some from those I have the privledge of sharing an Ambulance with :-D  SO!...I happily share them with you ;-) I hope they bring you a little bit of an explaination of the CRAZY WORLD behind the wheel of those who drive the "Meat Wagon" and why we can't give it up!

**DISCLAIMER: Not responsible for any tears, vomiting, bad dreams, sudden phobias, or hysterical laughter caused by reading our calls. Reading more = you know what you're getting yourself into ;-)**
